The Problem:
Join a design team to implement a new type of battery-powered gas monitor.
Device is cost-sensitive and is preferred to have a long battery life.
The Solution:
This project is currently in design; design is subject to change.
CoAutomation reviewed the preliminary design, estimated power consumption and offered
strategies to achieve different levels of increased battery life.
We reviewed and adjusted MSP430 pinout to assure maximum use of peripherals.
CoAutomation implemented the firmware to perform device functions while still meeting original
battery life goals.
After prototype completion, power management strategy will be reviewed to
determine whether additional power savings is desirable.
